摘要
The aim of the article is to provide an insight into the theoretical background of the role of social media in SME marketing strategy. The significance of our topic is that social media has been greatly appreciated, especially for the SME sector. The study approaches the problem under different aspects. Beyond the conceptual definition of corporate social media, we place great emphasis on presenting the role of our chosen theme in business. Taking into consideration the steps of the preparation of the social media marketing content plan, we present the importance of the topic under consideration for the small and medium-sized enterprise sector and the potential of them. We are focusing on the growing importance of social media in the 21st century, comparing the situation in Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. The main benefit of the study is that it provides a comprehensive picture of the growth of social media in the SME sector.
