Non-proliferation: Expansion of export control mechanisms

One of the challenges to international security in the new post Cold War period is proliferation of weapons that are particularly dangerous to mankind. A crucial means to rope with this challenge is appropriate export control. In the following article, Sten Lundbo, Permanent Representative of Norway to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and previously Deputy Director General in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, analyses the problem.
