摘要：
A boundary region based feature selection algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm captures an inconsistent block family to construct rough set boundary regions and uses a positive stepwise mechanism to construct the regions. The regions are used to build significance measures as heuristics to determine the optimal search path and establish an evaluation criterion for rules to identify feature subsets. These arrangements make the algorithm capable of locating a reduct more efficiently than other available algorithms. The finding is supported by experimental results.
