In this study, we will try to investigate in terms of functionality, discourse and context the way narratives which have been revived within the tradition of verbalization and posited in a local context as Temel anecdote are integrated with the sort of anecdote, the lastingness of that integration as synchronically with the restrictiveness of writing and finally its meeting the "virtual" share on internet. First of all, using the views posed by Walter J. Ong about the relation between verbalization and mental store in Orality and Literacy: The Technologizing of the Word as a basis, it is examined the emergence of Temel as a "figure", and what place the figure created through verbalization has occupied in the anecdotes of our time. At this point, it is questioned whether Temel characterized as the synthesis of local discourse has still his story or not in the diversing sorts of anecdote occurred with the restrictiveness of written discourse and the prevalent encompassment of virtual communication.
