摘要
Few studies have examined resilience as a variable that can provide a greater understanding of the process of re-entry into employment, especially when these people are long-term unemployed, low-skilled and/or have family responsibilities, in which case they have greater difficulty in accessing employment. The loss of a job causes a greater lack of motivation in those who experience it, negatively affecting both their self-esteem and their job prospects. Nevertheless, education for resilience from the point of view of emotional development is a key construct in helping people to cope with difficulties that may arise during the job search process and to improve their professional expectations. This study aims to find out the level of resilience and job search expectations in a total of 100 unemployed women in the Lower Guadalquivir region (Seville), taking into account their level of education and the time they have been unemployed, for this purpose, we applied the Resilience scales (CD-RISC) by Connor and Davidson (2003) and the Perceived Control Expectations of Job Search (ECPBE) by Piqueras et al. (2016), carrying out a relational analysis between the different variables studied having one variable as a factor, and secondly, a non-parametric contrast test. As main results, we found differences in the score of the various factors that make up each of the scales, depending on the time in unemployment and the level of study of the sample, however, we found no statistically significant differences in the overall assessment of the resilience of the subject and their expectations depending on the variables mentioned.
