摘要
This article discusses the testing of the resistance of corrugated board to pressure, defined as a force which deforms the material plastically, squeezes it, or destroys its structure. The strength of corrugated board equals the weakest force that can cause continuous deformities of the material (N/mm(2) surface of the material cross-section). The resistance to pressure depends solely on the properties of corrugated board, in this case on varying wave sizes in its layers, while the shape of the packed object has no influence whatsoever. The standard test tubes of defined shapes and dimensions were used for testing the strength of corrugated board. They were tested on a crush medium tester which measures the resistance of corrugated board to pressure. The results will show the influence of the wave size on the strength of corrugated board, i.e. on its horizontal and vertical surface.
