摘要
This article presents the conclusions from process improvements activities implemented for the past 15 years in a company producing surgical instruments. Authors seek to prove that the selection of a proper improvement strategy should be based on an analysis of the baseline condition in the business area subject to improvement. In order to test this thesis improvement projects were analyzed taking into account five criteria: the baseline condition, beneficiaries of the project, the dominating improvement strategy used in the project, the tools and methods used, and improvement measures taken. There is a variety of unique improvement scenarios, inspired by the diversity of processes and production improvement strategies, methods, and tools, as well as the uniqueness of each process. It is therefore essential to share experience of best practice in these matters.
