摘要
The relation between populism and religion has become of interest in other latitudes, and, in the case of Latin America, it also requires contemporary attention. Therefore, this essay elaborates a theoretical reflection on the concepts of religion and populism and examines two specific ways in which both relate to each other: first, the religious roots of populism and, second, the political affinity between religious groups and elements, and populist politics. Finally, the essay explores the relation between religion and populism, understanding it in a bidirectional way.
