The authors investigate asymptotic properties of solutions of the perturbed second order nonlinear difference equation Delta(a(n-1)psi(y(n-1))Delta y(n-1)) + Q(n, y(sigma(n))) = P(n, y(sigma(n)), Delta y(n)).
