Raman spectra and structure of the PbO-SiO2 glasses

摘要
The glasses in the binary PbO-SiO2 system containing 15-67 mol % PbO are studied by the Raman spectroscopic technique. The SiO2, PbO . 3SiO(2), 5PbO . 8SiO(2), PbO . SiO2, and 2PbO . SiO2 structural groupings are revealed in the PbO-SiO2 glasses, whose vibrational spectra are the additive sums of the individual spectra of the above groupings. The diagram of content of the structural groupings is calculated, and a correspondence between this diagram and the glass properties is demonstrated.
