摘要：
The general structure of the paper is the following: Theoretical results: a partial order on the set S of all semantic schemas is introduced; the main result of this part is the following: S is a join semilattice (for every S-1, S-2 E S there is sup {S-1, S-2} epsilon S) Two applications concerning the use of this result to model the distributed knowledge and the reasoning by analogy are presented. Finally several open problems axe highlighted.
