Transient electrical behaviour of ITER superconducting Toroidal Field Coils during fast discharge

摘要
In this paper, the transient behaviour of superconducting D-shaped TF (Toroidal Field) Coils of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) during a fast discharge is investigated. For this study, network models with lumped elements are established. Frequency dependant values of the network elements, i.e. effective, self and mutual inductances have been determined using 2D-FE models in a frequency range up to 50 kHz. It was possible to implement frequency dependent effects into the network modules as well.
