The Role of Higher Education in the Modern State: Radiography of Higher Education in Romania

The higher education in Romania has contributed over time to form the nation, to prepare scientific, cultural and engineering elites, to the consecration and innovation of the most important Romanian cultural and artistic values. In one form or another, more traditional or younger industries are also the creations of our higher education graduates. We must therefore consider higher education as a national value. In this regard, we intend to achieve through this study a comprehensive analysis on the role that higher education plays in the modern state and its evolution from 1989 to present, by highlighting the tradition of higher education in Romania and the connection past - present - future in the context of alignment with European standards.
