摘要
During the evolution of the HIV epidemy a remarkable amount of oral lesions were identified including the condyloma acuminata caused by a virus called HPV (human papilloma virus). Objective: To correlate genital HPV lesions with oral manifestations in HIV+ or HIV- patients. Material and Method: We treated 76 patients with HP V lesions on genitalia and they referred to the dental surgeon for diagnosis and correlation of lesions in the oral cavity. Data analyzed: gender, age, skin color. type of exposure: habits, general and oral diseases. Results: Of the 76 patients, 3,4 patients were HIV+, 18 (52.9%) had genital/oral HPV Of the 42 HIV negative patients, 13 (21.09%) had genital/oral HPV Several general and oral diseases were observed. Conclusion: HIV is a risk factor that changes and facilitates oral and HPV infections.
