摘要
Some new N-sulphonamoylphenylamino-3-chloro-4-phenylazetidin-2-ones 2a-f have been synthesised and their structures have been established on the basis of their elemental, IR, and H-1 NMR data. Compounds 2a-f show significant antibacterial activity. 1-[4'(5 "-6'-dimethoxypyrimidinosulphonamoyl) phenylamino]-3 -chloro-4-phenylazetidin-2-one 2e has been found to be more potent antibacterial agent against E. coli.
