摘要
This paper contains a review on automatic generation control (AGC) of power system. A variety of resources and techniques are considered in this study. These reflect the literature of AGC schemes in the modern power system age as it covers adaptive, self-tuning control, digital control, optimization techniques, soft computing/artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, and other schemes. This article also provides summary of AGC systems with PV systems hydro and wind turbines. Additionally, it incorporates the effect from electric vehicle, micro-grid, and smart grid on the AGC schemes.
