摘要：

Errors in English learners' writing are one vital representation of their English competence and performance. Many researches have been done around this issue. To expatiate Chinese English learners' writing errors, this research is done based on English major sophomores' compositions to analyze some common errors they have made. The purpose of the study is to generalize the errors and to illustrate the reasons for them and then put forward some suggestions for the improvement of students' writing from both teaching and learning aspects.
