摘要
There is high concentration of organic matter in the petroleum wastewater, and its COD is up to 10 000-60 000 mg/l, which is one of the more obscure typical wastewater. In this paper, wet oxidation (WO) is applied to treat petroleum wastewater in a reactor under the following conditions: reaction temperature, 220 to 280 degrees C; H2O2 dosage, 100 to 400 mg/l; initial COD, 5000-20 000 mg/l; and reaction time, 5 to 20 min The effect of the given experimental conditions on chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal was investigated. The results indicated that COD removal rises when temperature, reaction time, initial COD and H2O2 dosage increase. The optimum COD removal reached 79.93% under the experimental conditions.
