The region of East Asia has acquired a considerable economic strength. In this connection there are substantial construction investments being made to improve the infrastructure, including a large number of tunnel construction schemes for the regional and national traffic routes, the supply and disposal systems of towns and industrial conurbations as well as for the energy generation. This market will continue to grow and therefore offers opportunities for the construction industry and machinery manufacturers, but also for consulting engineers, to participate in these construction projects which already represent a significant volume today.
