Super-Resolution Terahertz Imaging with Plasmonic Focal-Plane Arrays

摘要
We present a terahertz focal-plane array comprised of similar to 0.3 million plasmonic nanoantennas, which can simultaneously provide spatial, ultrafast temporal, spectral, amplitude, and phase information of imaged objects, for the first time. Taking advantage of the multi-spectral nature of the amplitude and phase data, the combination of this focal-plane array with a convolutional deep neural network enables super-resolved image reconstruction of objects with subwavelength feature sizes and thickness variations, achieving an effective pixel count larger than 1 kilo pixels.
