School-based weight management services: Perceptions and practices of school nurses and administrators

摘要
A questionnaire on providing a school-based weight control program was given to 630 school nurses and 1137 school administrators located in Minnesota. Two hundred ninety-six nurses and 533 administrators responded. Forthy-five percent of the schools reported providing weight control programs for students, primarily on an as-needed basis. Most respondents - 82.4% of nurses and 66.0% of administrators - agreed that schools should provide weight control programs for students.
