Position-aware multimedia mobile learning systems in museums

摘要
A position-aware multimedia mobile learning system for museums is developed in the paper The system is implemented on Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), and is aware of the position of the visitor through the infrared positioning devices. The system provides location-based learning functions, and thus plays the role of the mobile learning platform for visitors in museums. As the visitor walks zip to a specific exhibit, without any clicks or operations, the system can retrieve the corresponding multimedia narration of that exhibit automatically.
