摘要
The fundamental characteristics of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks differentiation from other wireless or wired networks are mobility and scalability. We are proposing a new method of speed calculation of mobile nodes in this paper. MANET routing protocols are designed to handle changes in physical arrangements of mobile nodes along with minimizing packet overhead, and packet loss rate. This paper checks the performance of AODV, DSDV, and DSR routing protocols under Enhanced Manhattan Mobility Model. For better movement of mobile nodes and network performance, node mobility is considered. Firstly, we propose an Enhanced Manhattan Mobility Model. The simulative study compared the proposed mobility model over existing mobility model using the NS2.35 simulator and Bonnmotion-3.0.1 mobility generator tool. Analysis shows that the simulated results presented in this paper have shown enhancement of Quality of Service performance metrics like packet overhead, and packet loss. It shows an improvement of 0.7% to 21% in packet overhead and drops rate of 1% to 7% in packet loss.
