摘要：
An overview of the International Measurement Confederation, IMEKO, its organisation and programmes is given A brief comparison is drawn between the Metre Convention, the International Organisation of legal Metrology and the IMEKO. The activities of IMEKO's Technical Committee 11 "Metrological Infrastructures" are described, which mainly aim elf supporting especially the small and medium-sized enterprises by providing information and advice on metrology and related matters. Examples are shown on how the information is generated and passed on to the client.
