摘要
Catalytic conversion of toxic compounds into applied products is an emerging area of interest especially for the industrial as well as academic researchers. The development of catalysts for efficient conversion of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide is highly desired for green world. Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) being porous and highly functionalized materials, appeared as an exceptional class of compounds due to their extraordinary and versatile catalytic properties. In this review, we have summarized recent advances in MOFs based materials for efficient heterogeneous catalytic conversion of CO2 and CO. Various catalysts such as Co, Fe, Au, Cu and Zn based MOFs have been successfully demonstrated not only for the conversion of CO2 and CO into applied products as well as for fisher-tropsch synthesis (FTS). This review also highlights about the epoxides cycloaddition corresponding to the various catalytic systems. In addition, this review offers the detailed discussion related to the new challenges and opportunities for effective transformation of CO2 and CO into useful products. We are hopeful that this review will provide the fundamental aspects to develop more efficient MOFS based catalysts for efficient removal of harmful pollutants.
