摘要
In recent years, cold-formed steel has been widely used in light residential structures, because of its light weight, high strength, and easy assembly construction. As a new building material, the most obvious features of cold-formed steel are the large width-thickness ratio, various sections, and large post-buckling strength. These characteristics of cold-formed steel determine that the mechanism and bearing capacity are quite different from the traditional hot-rolled steel. Cold-formed steel members restrict the development of deformation by membrane stress. And at last, the components are destroyed because the stress of the most part of the members has passed the yield point and the deformation is big. Based on the research home and abroad, combined with the FEM, this paper will deeply analysis the buckling modes of C-section components of cold-formed steel such as local buckling, distortion buckling, overall buckling and related buckling. In addition, the paper also analyzes the buckling mechanism, points out the key factors which influence buckling mode of these components, gives further description and summaries about the definition and features of buckling modes.
