Bovine besnoitiosis is a severe parasitic disease widespread in many european countries and occasionally reported in Italy. In the present paper we report three cases of bovine besnoitiosis in a breeding farm in central Italy. Clinical diagnosis was supported by histopathological examination of skin biopsies from all three animals and whole body in one of them. Tissue cysts, typical of Besnoitia spp., were observed in skin and respiratory, oculocongiuntival and genital mucosae. Bovine besnoitiosis can be considered as an emerging disease also in Italy.
