The Effects of Low-carbon Rule on China's Export Trade and the Countermeasures

Since entering 21st century, low-carbon economy (LCE) has been a more important problem and a powerful driving force in global development of economy. Under the circumstances of developing LCE, the low-carbon rule (LCR) represented by carbon tariff, carbon emission reduction, carbon footprint and carbon trading becomes a new type of international trade system that will affect the size of export trade, mix of exports and the competitiveness of exports. Thus, China should perfect the low-carbon law, participate in laying down LCR, strengthen the technological transformation, so that adjust the industrial structure and export structure, enhance the competitiveness of exports. Meanwhile, China should also optimize the energy structure, raise the efficiency of low-carbon energy.
