摘要
This paper aims at describing how a combination of an Accounting Information System (A IS) and a Knowledge-intensive System (KIS) can be used as a tool for Indonesian SME Garment Manufacturers (ISGMs). The tool provides the ISGMs with information needed to compete on a global level. Observations and in-depth interviews based on an actual garment case study are presented. Our findings indicate that a XIS can be used as a means for computationally interpreting the financial performances. This is so for internal and external use. Our conclusions show that the development of a KIS enables ISGMs to reach five goals.
