Taking the 'Cognitive Turn' in Experimental Philosophy of Language

摘要：
Experimental philosophers have produced empirical evidence showing demographic variation in semantic intuitions. This is taken to raise a methodological question within philosophy of language. Following the recent work of Knobe and others, I propose to re-interpret the results as contributing to a philosophically-attuned project of cognitive science. The evidence then supports a form of 'internalism' in natural language.
