Excitation of m=2 fast wave eigenmode in an inhomogeneous plasma

摘要：
The fast wave (compressional Alfven wave) eigenmode of m = +2, where m is the poloidal mode number, was selectively excited in a radially inhomogeneous cylindrical plasma using a simple antenna located at the end of the plasma column, and its dispersion relation was found to be in good agreement with that obtained using the uniform density model with a vacuum annulus between the plasma edge and the conducting wall.
