摘要
We have synthesized NbOx with oxygen vacancies (OVs) and conducted the first work on nitrate electroreduction to NH3 over Nb oxides. It is a robust non-precious metal catalyst for NH3 synthesis by nitrate electroreduction. The faradaic efficiency of 94.5% and the NH3 formation rate of 55.0 mu g h(-1) mg(cat)(-1) were achieved in a neutral electrolyte. The excellent performance of NbOx originates from the intrinsic properties of Nb oxides and the OVs in the catalyst.
