A simplified effective synthetic process is described for the diastereoselective synthesis of the chiral C-2-symmetric CF3-ureas (R,R)-15 and (S,S)-15 from (S)-alpha-phenylethylamine, glyoxal and CF3I. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
