Intellectual property in the Ukraine: Problems of commercialisation and legal protection

The article focuses on the issues of protection and commercialisation of intellectual property in the Ukraine. A number of unsolved issues are indicated in the given area, that are the same also for the CIS countries which include the issues of distribution of rights for the intellectual values being created between the author, employer, ministries and institutions; regulation of concluding licences, investment and other agreements for the transfer of technology; assessment of the cost of rights for intellectual property objects; the role of the State in support of innovation activity, provision of patent information, etc. The experience of Ukrainian scientific organisations in the field of commercialisation of intellectual property in the changing market conditions is outlined.
