摘要：

A 68-year-old man with a history of generalized bone pain and prostate hypertrophy had a Tc-99m MDP whole-body scan to distinguish a possible neoplastic process from a metabolic alteration. Intense uptake was observed in the lower spine and in the rare location of the left ulna, suggesting Paget's disease. Laboratory tests included an elevated serum alkaline phosphatase level, and radiographs confirmed a diagnosis of Paget's disease. The patient responded to bisphosphonate treatment.
