摘要
Asthma is a very common chronic disease that affects the quality of life for a wide range of the population. Self-management in Asthma is crucial for health improvement, yet challenging. Most of asthmatic patients are not using their inhalers in the correct way or as frequently as they should, or they are not avoiding the triggers. The Use of mobile health applications (mHealth) is the new strategy that can improve knowledge about asthma, use of inhalers, and to increase the awareness about exacerbating factors among patients. The main aim of this study is to explore Jordanian asthmatic patients' attitudes and design preferences towards using mHealth apps to enhance asthma self- management. Therefore, a questionnaire was designed and distributed among asthma patients. The results show positive attitudes among Jordanian asthmatic patients toward using mHealth apps for asthma self-management. The results also used to design a free and culturally appropriate mHealth app which will be used evaluated by Jordanian asthmatic patients.
