摘要
Species Distribution Characteristics of heavy metal elements, like copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb), in the sediment of the Tonghuihe River were studied. The results reveal that there are much difference for each heavy metal, wherein the zinc and lead exists mainly in residual form; copper exist in FeMnOx and carbonates; cadmium mainly exists as exchangeable and carbonates forms, while its residual form content is much less. And the potential pollution risks resulted from heavy metal in the sediments were evaluated respectively by Index of Geo-accumulation (I-geo) and the Potential Ecological Index (RI). It is concluded that the degree of contamination evaluated using the I-geo method is Zn>Cu>Cd>Pb; and the results assessed by RI reveal that the potential contamination risk is Cd>Cu>Pb>Zn.
