摘要
The small amplitude oscillations can be superimposed parallelly on steady shear flows. The resulting moduli provide information about time- and shear-dependent microstructure. For this purpose, model blends composed of polydimethylsiloxane and polyisobutylene with the viscosity ratio of 7.9 and 0.25 are investigated. The resulting moduli are compared with the results derived from numerical calculation as well as analytical solutions, developed here by introducing the conditions under parallel superposition flow field into MM model. Good agreement is found in the interfacial contribution of the storage moduli for blend with low volume fraction. Moreover, detailed analysis on hydrodynamic interaction between droplets is given to explain the discrepancies. (C) 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
