A Research upon Strengthening the Education on "the Rule of Law Spirit" of the Chinese Undergraduates

Against the strategic background of "Governing Universities and Colleges by Law", strengthening education on "the rule of law spirit" of the Chinese undergraduates has become a new project putting forward by the development trend of building a society ruled by law in China. In this context, new talent cultivation objectives for higher education should be modified. This is because governing universities by law is the innate need of realizing modernization of higher education. It is important to note that the aim of education on "the rule of law spirit" for undergraduates is to cultivate citizens with fine legal quality and build a society ruled by laws. In other words, governing universities by law does not mean to use rigid legal provision to replace warm traditional culture. Instead, efforts should be taken to internalize the legal consciousness of Chinese undergraduates and guide their behaviors.
