摘要
The specificity and the widespread occurrence of hydrogen bonds make them a special construction element in crystal engineering. A concise presentation of the chemical and crystallographic principles for controlled molecular association into structural building blocks, and their further organisation into three-dimensional crystal structures, is given and several examples are discussed.
