摘要
In modem CAD systems, feature as a fundamental design collaborative open environment. Accordingly, in the new unit is widely used for solid modeling, especially in single generation. of Internet-based distributed collaborative PC-based systems. In the age of Internet, one of the trends product development systems, well-defined feature model of developing and application environment of software is should be with collaborative function to meet the from single PC or LAN based closed environment to a distributed collaborative solid modeling requirement and distributed collaborative open environment. So in modem feature information could be used in the whole product distributed CAD systems, well-defined feature model and life cycle, to facilitate the realize of automatic interface with collaborative function to meet the development of mechanical products. distributed collaborative solid modeling requirement is an important matter. This paper introduces a feature model for distributed solid modeling environment, the model with the characteristics of open, normative, collaborative and transplantable. Information structure and working mechanism of the model are described in detail. Then the architecture of a distributed collaborative solid modeling platform are given. Feature information wrapping and a XML based data transfer strategy are also explained.
