摘要
The normal functioning female pelvic floor maintains support of abdominal and pelvic viscera and assists in control of anal and urinary continence while permitting coitus, childbirth and the voluntary elimination of enteric and urinary contents. Intact static supportive structures (passive support) and functioning neuromuscular structures (active support) are important in maintaining a normally functioning pelvic floor.
