摘要：
The world's production and use of powders is discussed. Factors that influence the development of powder metallurgy and measures that will promote wider application of powder products are considered. Estimates for the development of powder metallurgy up to 2011 and some developments that won awards of the Metal Powder International Federation (MPIF) in 2005 are presented.
