摘要
This paper presents the capacitor voltage balancing control of a Modular Matrix Converter (MMxC) in conditions of startup and low output frequency. The capacitor voltage control achieves by four circulating currents flowing in the MMxC. The frequency of one circulating current is same as the frequency of the output voltage. Therefore, in the low output frequency region, the capacitor voltages are fluctuated and imbalance. The authors propose the capacitor voltage balancing control by using negative-sequence current of the input source voltage. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by experiments using a laboratory prototype.
