A simplified method for calculating load transverse distribution coefficient of skew bridge

摘要
Owing to imperfections and complexities in calculating load transverse distribution coefficients of skew bridges, the modal parameters method was put forward through the researches on the orthogonal straight bridges, which is not limited to bridge types and can be used for skew bridges. To further explore the precision of this method, a Midas/civil space beam gird model was built and the load transverse distribution coefficients were contrasted with another method. The results showed that modal parameters method meets the needs of engineering calculation and can be applied to skew bridges. It is hoped that the modal parameters method can put more emphasis on bridge design and testing in the future.
