Phenomenology and Marxism: A dialogue about science and technology

The purpose of this paper is to show a critical dialogue between Marx, Husserl, Heidegger and Marcuse, with the aim of outlining some tentative limits of modern science and technique. In this critical dialogue the following will be highlighted: i) The non-neutrality of science and technology, because they have a domination's a priori. ii) The concept of value as a mode of mathematization-abstraction that completes the quantification of the exact sciences. iii) The technical domain as a political-economical domain. iv) The possibility of an alternative.
