摘要
Radiation-induced absorption and lasing efficiency of a h ermetically c oated e rbium-doped f iber s aturated w ith molecular hydrogen a re studied. It is shown t hat H-2-loading of hermetically coated erbium-doped fibers prolongs t heir service time in space more than in 5 times, making such fibers promising for space applications.
