Injection-driven applications of a diffraction-radiation oscillator using a waveguide open resonator

摘要
An experimental study of beam-wave energy exchange in a new type of diffraction-radiation oscillator under single- or double-frequency injection is reported. The positive feedback in the device is essentially implemented by means of a waveguide open resonator. The beam-current dependence of the phase angle between the output and the input forced oscillation is measured at different input powers. It is found that a dow and a fast space-charge wave emit diffraction radiation at different angles in the plane orthogonal to the beam direction.
