摘要
For the process optimisation of industrial furnaces detailed knowledge about the complex and coupled phenomena of flow, mixture, combustion and heat transfer has a decisive importance. The Gaswarme-Institute, Essen (GWI) has developed new optimising possibilities for combustion processes in the field of the industrial utilisation of natural gas by using mathematical modelling tools in combination with experimental investigations. At the facilities of GWI it is possible to test burner systems realising similar boundary conditions as in industrial applications. At the same time an optimisation can be done using mathematical modelling. Therefore it is possible to reduce the experimental efforts distinctly.
