摘要
The retinoic acid-related orphan receptors alpha (RORA) is a member of nuclear receptors that act as ligand-dependent transcription factors. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within this gene have been associated with a number of human disorders including multiple sclerosis and autism spectrum disorder. In the present study, we genotyped two RORA SNPs (rs11639084 and rs4774388) in 122 Iranian patients with bladder cancer and 150 healthy subjects with no personal history of malignancy and no urinary system complications. There were no significant differences in allele, genotype and haplotype frequencies of these SNPs between cases and controls. In spite of role of these SNPs in the pathogenesis of some diseases, these variants are not possibly involved in bladder cancer risk in Iranian population.
